All plants are grown by students through environmental education programs where students receive job skills training, high school credits, and run the nursery as a student enterprise. The bulk of our plants are grown at Liberty Continuation High School’s GreenWorks Plant Nursery. Stay tuned for more events, including open houses at our nurseries throughout San Luis Obispo County!

Green Gravity is an open platform supporting insight and creativity towards sustainable realities. It exists to provide an environment for university and community collaborations, networking, fundraising opportunities, and overall enlightenment. The Empower Poly Coalition is a student-run organization that unites the efforts of over 25 clubs interested in the sustainability movement, ranging from renewable energy, bio-diesel, and local, organic food to global projects, fair trade, and social justice. We have gained the support of Cal Poly faculty and administration. We are continuing to work towards becoming a powerful resource for the community. Green Gravity utilizes our connections between students and citizens. It has proven to be an effective approach for gathering a diverse audience. Our hope is that it evolves into an important hub for sustainable initiatives in San Luis Obispo.
Start Time: 17:30
Date: 2011-02-22
End Time: 22:00
